On February 28th we have PowerizeD Use Case 5 kick-off meeting in Reutlingen. PowerizeD research project addresses aspects of power electronics from materials to systems across application five areas: semiconductor; traction; automotive; industry market; electric energy. Use Case 5 focuses on the automotive industry, specifically smart inverters. Together with our partners, we will work along the entire supply chain on novel digitized test strategies to bring beyond state-of-the-art simulation techniques, such as the compact digital twin, into industrial applications.

PowerizeD will enable:

Green energy by increasing the efficiency of power devices and system with loss reduction up to 25%
Sustainable Operation for an increased lifetime by at least 30%
Robust and Safe Operation by intelligent device control
Reduction of required Chip Size by 10-15%
Reduced Design Time for power electronic control systems by 50%
